I My Me - Strawberry Eggs + New Walpaper

It has been a long while since I got back here and I miss it. Summer over and school starts. Speaking of school, the latest video set i picked up is I My Me - Strawberry Eggs. When the rent is due and the only job you can do is a gym teacher, you will do anything for it; even cross dressing.

I don't want to give up everything but with only thirteen episodes, I think it could have made another 13 or a ending movie to cap off this show. It's funny and hits the heart all at the same time.

I have not done a wallpaper for a long time and I kinda rush it. The next wallpaper might be better later.

I just finished UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie and that another story to talk about.

Anime on Sci-fi Channel on Mondays, hmm.

When I heard that the Sci-fi channel putting anime on Mondays, I had mixed feelings on it. Sure it going to have the hard hitting anime to expect to see and the time is really great. With sports like football and wrestling and the drollness being it monday may hinder it a little. But I have great confident that it could stand the test of time during the first season.

Why don't just have it for Mondays, Saturdays can be a most competitive day for the younger audiences with the right anime to show like Voltron, Mighty Orbots or classic anime.
Anyway good luck on Monday.

Which anime is ready for primetime?

With TechTV's, (now G4TV) Anime Unleashed is gone and other channels are keeping it for the kids, Cartoon Network can be the place for anime to shine.

Miguzi, which has the kid afternoon time slot during the week, is taking over where Toonami left off. This is what I would like to see on Miguzi:

  1. Cardcaptors - Yeah, I know it was on Toonami and it didn't get the spotlight it needed but, with Sailor Moon gone and using the original segments, not that broken missing scene series they were showing, it can make a mighty comeback
  2. Negima - When I read the manga, I was sure this would not make as a kid show, but now as I see it, a toned down manga on the screen, this would be a great for Miguzi.
  3. Angelic Layer - When Street Fighter meets Barbie Doll, this is a fun show to watch and talk about when you in school.
Toonami was the start of many anime such as sailor moon, dragon ball z, tenchi muyo series. I wanted to keep the action back for the series:

  1. Hikaru no Go - Already playing on Toonami Jetstream, this show should be a great series for the young and old. It teaches you how to play and enjoy the game of GO.
  2. Sakura Wars - Steam -powered robots and a cast from a theater saving Japan from the demons which still plague the city. Cutting some of the harsh scenes and changing the voice scripts, it can pleasing for the non anime fans
  3. Yugioh: The Prequel - We all know all about Yugi and his game with duel monsters, but what about the times before he met Kaiba one on one. There were students and bullies who crossed path with Yugi and his "partner" and received a price when they lose. This can be the history of Yugi and his friends before the match with Kaiba
Adult Swim (aka Toonami - Midnight Run) take animations and fix it for the adults to watch. This was easy to think about and I would like to put everyone on this list but I pick the ones that stood out in my mind:

  1. Maison Ikkoku - You may have your soaps on in the afternoon, then you have this show. I already expained about this show earlier in my blog abd this would be a great addition for Adult Swim.
  2. Gunsmith Cats - Move over CSI, Bring the Chicago's bombshell of May and Rally to the TV Lineup. If the writers can make the series longer and more actions, it can maybe knock off Dog: the Bounty Hunter

AMG is Back Season 2

When AMG TV series came on DVD, I knew it would be a great hit. Now it is all over, I just can't wait to follow up into season 2. With more of it romantic comedy in full bloom this spring.

For this occasion, I went back to my old photoshop ways and made the newest wallpaper for the coming season. Will Keiichi has the guts to tell Belldandy his feelings? Will the monk come back to a shamble of a temple?

I can't wait until the first volume arrives.

"Special" Anime - 2 sided coin

-Special Note- There are some anime and manga that are too graphic for young viewers called Hentai or Eechi. We will still speak about it, but we would not release graphic pictures or any links to pages for this.

I would like to give my kudos to Critical Mass Video for the acquisitions some of the titles from Softcell such as F3, Dragon Pink, Rei Rei, and Magical Twilight. The English voice overs need to be spunk up just a little but the shows are digitally remastered, some extra outtakes and showing some of he artwork. There are still “special” anime from Softcell to be acquired like New Angel from U-jin, First Lovers and others titles.

On the other side of the coin, Nu-tech, “special” anime on double sided DVDs, has to get my blood boiling (and not in a good way, either). You have some of the good titles such as Immoral Sisters, D-vine Luv and Shusaku and having “special” voice actresses. The problem is the distribution of the DVD. Paying for a 30 min show, even with artwork and a few extras, the other side of the DVD is for their trailers of other anime.
It is time to stop this madness, one episode and 20 trailers come off it. Almost all of the series can fit onto one DVD and on the other side can be the trailers. Great stories but bad distribution.
